To ensure the health and safety of the students, JCSGO Christian Academy (JCA) conducted its annual physical examination (APE) and annual dental examination (ADE) at the Shalom room on July 17–24.
The examinations were facilitated by the school physician, Frederick Christian T. Calamaan, and the school dentist, Jayson Roy Caramancion with the assistance of other healthcare professionals.
The APE and ADE were first conducted on student-athletes to provide them the ability to reach peak performance via a full laboratory check-up, biometric screening, and medical history inquiry.
The objective was to guarantee that every athlete is fit and secure before taking part in any training or competition.
Badminton team captain Ma. Renzy Rizano shared that the APEs have always been an important part of her journey as a student-athlete.
Having experienced the process for the past three years, she noticed improvements in this year’s examination.
“This year, the APE was different because there were many new tests and procedures added compared to the previous years,” she shared.
Rizano also emphasized the value of the APE in ensuring the health and safety of athletes.
“It helps us know if we have any health problems that we cannot feel or notice. It also makes sure that we are healthy and physically fit before training and joining competitions,” she shared.
Following the successful APE and ADE for student-athletes, the school extended the health initiative to the rest of the school population for regular students.
JCA values its students by conducting this health program. The school also ensures that every student is physically prepared to face the school year.
Through this advocacy, JCA continues to enhance its commitment to student wellness by providing complete and essential healthcare services. The school aims to foster a healthy and active environment for students to thrive both physically and academically.
