Our Faith
Statement of Faith
God
We believe that there is only one living and true God. He is the triune God – the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
Holy Spirit
We believe in the Holy Spirit of God as a real person equal in every way with God the Father and God the Son. The Holy Spirit was given to live inside those who believe in Jesus. “I will ask the Father and He will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever; the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not behold Him or know Him, but you know Him because He abides with you and will be in you.” (John 14:16)
Marriage, Gender and Sexuality
We believe that God wonderfully and immutably creates each person as male and female.
We believe that the term “marriage” has only one meaning – the uniting of one man and one woman in a single, exclusive union, as delineated in Scripture. (Genesis 2:18-25; 1 Corinthians 6:18, 7:2-5; Hebrews 13:4). We believe that any form of sexual immortality (including adultery, fornication, homosexual behavior, bisexual conduct, bestiality, incest, and pornography) is sinful and offensive to God (Matthew 15:18-20; 1 Corinthians 6:9-10)
Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ is the begotten son of God, born from an immaculate conception of a woman named Mary. Jesus Christ is God’s ransom for humanity’s fall into sin. It is through faith in Jesus Christ and what He had done on the cross of Calvary that humanity can only be saved. Salvation is when we individually and personally accept and receive Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. Through Jesus Christ people can know and experience God’s love and wonderful plan.
The Scriptures
We believe that the Bible was written by men and was divinely inspired by the Holy Spirit. All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)
Man
We believe that God loves man and has a wonderful plan for his life. Man was separated from God because of sinfulness. It is through Jesus Christ that man can restore his relationship with God.
