Club and varsity tryouts began their promotional efforts with an audio-visual presentation (AVP) at the JCSGO Seed Dome earlier this month.
The AVP introduced this year’s clubs:
- Visual Arts – Ms. Danielle Soliven; express your creativity through drawing, painting, and colors.
- Multimedia – Sir Zael Tan; develop skills in photography, graphic design, and technical software and applications.
- Sports – Ms. Aurhene Faye Binasoy; execute kinesthetics and excel in athletic performance.
- Eloquence – Ms. Ma. Dahlia Tubog for grade school (GS) and junior high school (JHS), and Sir Miguel Isaac Perada for senior high school (SHS); enhance communication and public speaking.
- J-Force Dance Club – Ms. Janna Roque; showcase talent through dance and choreography.
- Practical Music Course (PMC) – PMC teachers; excel in music by learning instruments and singing.

It also introduced varsity tryouts schedules:
- Basketball boys – Coach Gerard Alejo
- Volleyball boys and volleyball girls – Coach Jeric Bellen
- Arnis – Coach Ahrmand Gatchalian, Coach Cassandra Rangasa, and Coach Jalile Estuesta
- Badminton – Coach Julious Lacson
“The purpose of the club promotion was to strengthen students and improve their skills while giving members chances to represent the school during events and receive recognition for their achievements,” said Student Activities Head Ms. Kristine Cruzado.
Beyond skill-building, club members and varsity members also enjoy perks such as nominations for special awards and academic deadline extensions during performance practices, giving students both recognition and support as they balance their commitments.
“Joining a club will help me improve my skills, make new friends, and become more confident. It’ll also help me learn new things and be more involved in school activities,” shared Samantha Lourraine Luena, Grade 7.

Ignite, the school’s publication, also offers free workshops for Ignite Jr. and Ignite staffers.
Grade school trainings will be held every Friday from 1:45 p.m to 3:00 p.m., starting on July 17, while the high school trainings and workshops will be held every Saturday from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Interested JCAians may proceed to the Registrar’s Office to learn how to join a club. For varsity aspirants, contact Ms. Aurhene Faye Binsaoy, Sports Coordinator.
