Student athletes and members of Ignite were recognized for their efforts during Appreciation Day on April 6, 2026, at the Central Hall.
In her message, Ms. Binasoy shared that, “the main purpose is to have an Appreciation Day dedicated to the one who truly plays the biggest role in our success every year, which is God,”
“We give back all the glory to Him for every achievement He has graciously blessed us with, we come in praise, honor Him in our bond, and seek His Word,” she added.
Following this, team captains Alexander Alfaro for basketball boys, Wendell Dakis for volleyball boys, and Ashleigh Villanueva for volleyball girls delivered their message. Representatives from other sports also shared their remarks, including Maria Renzy Rizano for badminton and Jalile Estuesta for arnis.
Afterward, an audio-visual presentation (AVP) was shown for the varsity teams, highlighting their efforts, friendship, and achievements.
The program continued with speeches from Ignite Editors-in-Chief Prince Elmar Eliang and Yana Aviel Domingo.
Attendees expressed a sense of pride, knowing that their efforts and work were recognized and valued, noting how the event served as a meaningful way to honor their dedication and achievements.
“It was truly a beautiful experience. I felt a sense of pride toward my fellow journalists and athletes because we get to be recognized for our works, especially when we represent our schools,” stated Jayden Tuñacao, a feature writer.
The program concluded with the closing remarks and prayer led by Mr. Gerard Alejo, basketball coach, followed by a group photo opportunity with all sports teams, coaches, and Ignite members.
