The junior high school department held its spelling and grammar and literature quiz bee finals on Sept. 16 and 17.

Topics in each quiz bee tackled lessons in their respective grades.

Grade 8 spelling bee champion Cassidy Kiel Tan shared that she prepared for the quiz bee by reviewing with her friends and praying.

“When I won first place, I was surprised since I felt intimidated by my competitors, and I also felt grateful to God and those who helped me prepare,” she added.

Moreover, Ioanes Phil Ligaray, the grade 10 grammar and literature quiz bee champion prepared by revising all his English lessons from grade 7 to 10.

“I prepared for the quiz bee finals the day before by reviewing some lessons about literature and grammar we tackled during my previous grade levels,” he shared.

Ligaray recognized God’s guidance in his win, thanking Him for it.

“Now that I’m reminded of that win, I continue to thank God for constantly guiding me throughout each challenge,” he concluded.
