JCSGO Christian Academy (JCA) kickstarted its sports clinic with basketball and volleyball on May 5, followed by swimming on May 6, coaching students to cultivate the talent of striving student-athletes in the JCSGO Seed Dome, J. Bracken covered court, and Union Square Rooftop, respectively.

The three sports clinics, led by Coach Gerard Alejo along with three instructors for basketball, Coach Jeric Bellen for volleyball, and Coach Froilan Soriano for swimming, commenced their training with stretching and basic warm-ups to prepare their bodies for the training.
The training was composed of male and female students from the early childhood department to senior high school, highlighting that neither age nor gender hinders you from being an athlete.
“The main goal of this sports clinic is to support and extend the opportunities offered by the school’s sports program, promoting continuous growth and development through sports,” said Ms. Binasoy, who’s also the school’s sports coordinator.
She also believes that the sports clinic would enable students to use their summer time productively in a healthy way, focusing on their skills, building discipline, and engaging in positive activities.
In response to how a student would describe their experience, “It was fun and entertaining, I learned how to dig and how to fix how to receive, I also met my friends which made my experience more fun,” Chloee Bautista said, a trainee in the volleyball sports clinic.
Zachary Nathan Bulusan, a trainee in the basketball sports clinic, also said he learned the importance of fundamentals like proper dribbling and the different types of passes.
The sports clinics ended with a cooldown to set the body to rest mode, ending the first and second days successfully.
