JCSGO Christian Academy’s Senior High School Department conducted a pilot testing for online class last July 27 – 30, 2020.

Students were gathered remotely and classified in different categories according to gadgets used, internet connectivity and location.

The main focus of the pilot testing was to determine the effectivity and efficiency of Google Meet and Google Classroom as online platforms for senior high students. The students were asked to rate the quality of audio, visual and delivery of their lessons as well as the content, accessibility and use of online submission of module activities.

The type of gadgets used and internet connectivity were the determining factors for the students’ rating. Students who have internet speed of 14.5 to 28.96 Mbps, rated 4.3 overall and 3.8 for those with 2.25 to 10.54 Mbps.

Students who used gadgets such as smartphones or tablets have an overall rating of 4.0. For those with laptop or desktop computers, a 4.1 rating were assessed.

The department passed with an overall rating of 4.1.
