
SHS dept. celebrates Entrep Month with financial literacy seminar

To wrap up the Senior High School (SHS) Department’s Entrepreneurship Month, budding entrepreneurs and aspiring fin-lit students came together for the ABM Peso-Lit Seminar held at the Central Hall on Thursday, March 20.
The Grade 12 ABM students organized the seminar, which began with opening remarks from Sociopreneurs Club president Rhys Samson Corpuz.
Shortly after, emcees Ma. Alyssa Lane Alpino and Aikee Jarelle Azares then introduced guest speaker Jerome Paul Ladan, who shared his insights and expertise on financial literacy, focusing on planning and saving money.
Winners from contests held throughout the month were also celebrated, with Dharylle Yasay of 12-Elohim earning top place for “FinLit in a Minute” and 11-Shalom taking the championship for “AdWars.”
The recent Entrep Bazaar also showcased student-led enterprises’ creativity and entrepreneurial skills, with several standout teams receiving recognition for their efforts. “Spudalicious” earned the “People’s Choice Award,” while “Annyeong-Silog!” was recognized for the “Best Marketing Strategy.”
“Milktasthick” took home multiple awards, including “Best Booth Design,” “Most Innovative Product,” and the overall championship titles for “Best Sales Performance” and “Brand Excellence.”
Additionally, “K-ravings” was named the “Rising Star,” while “SisigSaWrap” won the Sustainability Award.
The event concluded with Troy Melegrito, Young Entrepreneur Batch 2024 Awardee, sharing his closing message, inspiring students to continue learning financial responsibility.
“Financial literacy isn’t just about the numbers. It’s about making smart decisions that will help you achieve your dreams.”
