Our Story

Brief History

In 1997, Bishop Jonathan and Pastor Victoria Sebastian founded JCSGO Christian Academy with one teacher, Mrs. Cynthia Cambri-Genon, and 12 pupils. The school opened on July 7, 1997, offering complete preschool education in a small room.

Soon after, the first-grade level was introduced, led by Mrs. Elva Macaraeg and Mrs. Jean Bustamante. With 54 students, classes moved to a two-story building. As enrollment grew, the school expanded and in 2004, DepEd granted recognition. JCA produced its first high school graduates in 2008, followed by a revised mission and vision.

In 2016, the school launched its Senior High program with courses in ABM, HUMSS, Home Economics, and ICT. The first Senior High batch graduated in 2018.

Today, JCA is still committed to carry on strong programs of Christian education, communication, social services and leadership. The school is in a constant state of evolution, striving to be a more dynamic and growth-oriented institution.

Educational Philosophy

JCSGO CHRISTIAN ACADEMY (JCA) affirms the authority of the Scripture as the highest truth. The Bible is inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. Teachers seek to integrate Biblical truth into each subject being taught.

And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man.
Luke 5:22

The scriptural account found in Luke 2:52 indicates that Jesus grew in a four-fold way. He grew mentally in wisdom, physically in stature, spiritually in favor with God and with men (socially). Each aspect of growth was important. Education at JCA seeks to develop the total child – holistically fortified: spiritually, mentally, physically, and socially. A Christian education is a total education, and it begins in the spiritual aspect.

We believe that a proper relationship between family, church, and school is essential to education. It is the responsibility of the parents to teach and train a child. JCA, as a ministry of the church, is an extension of the educational process at home.

JCA is committed to leading the children and their families to a restored relationship with God, to producing graduates with exemplary faith, character and competence, and to developing influential servant-leaders and global change
