Musikristo 2025, with the theme “God’s Word: Source of Hope,” brought together students from Grade School (GS) to Senior High School for a morning of worship and musical excellence at the Seed Dome on February 12.

The event was hosted by Yuri Naranja and Markin Asuncion, with an opening prayer led by Angelica Ibale and opening remarks delivered by Pastor Joshua Sebastian, reminding JCAians that the meaningful celebration of music, rooted in God’s word, brings hope, unity, and faith to all.

The esteemed judges, Franco Polo Macasa, John Koby Reodica, and Yssa Agatha Santos, brought their expertise to the table, carefully evaluating each performance.

Talented groups, including The Disciples, Servants of Light, Exodus, Yadah, Songs of Solomon, and Sa Orabella, filled the stage with heartfelt worship and inspiring performances.

Exodus emerged as champion, followed by Yadah as 1st runner-up and Sa Orabella as 2nd runner-up, and the People’s Choice Award ended in a tie between Servants of Light and Songs of Solomon.

The event ended with Mr. Zael Tan giving the closing remarks and Ms. Mae Mendoza leading the closing prayer.

“Joining the Musikristo itself became the starting point of strengthening my relationship with the band and with the Lord. I’m thankful because God gave us this opportunity to join a competition where we create music that will bring praise to Him,” Ma. Alyssa Lane Alpino of ‘Yadah,’ shared with Ignite.
