
JHS Students compete in strategic-based board games ahead of Intramurals ’24

As part of its third-day intramural slate, players showcased their strategic skills and concentration as they competed in the JHS Board Games last February 21.
Gabriel Rios claimed first place as he scored 217 points in the Scrabble Boys category, followed by Cantrel Miraflor in the second spot with 112 points and Rueben Tumapang with 112 points as the third.
Jann Shane Samson, meanwhile, emerged victorious in the Scrabble Girls category as she finished with 309 points, succeeding Bianca Del Rio, scoring 232 points, and Princess Balanga with 149 points.
In the Game of the Generals (GOG) Boys, Joshua Paradero emerged victorious in the finals to claim the first spot, beating Ruhan Garing, who placed second, while John Matthew Ebal came in third.
Marleth Moralda, concurrently, was declared champion in the GOG Girls category, defeating Roselle Ramos, who came in second, and Monique Salvador, claiming the third spot.
As the battle of minds continued, Joaquin AriƱo was proclaimed winner of the Chess Boys category, Ashton Sagum came in second, and Wilfredo Paulmino III was the third placer.
In the Chess Girls category, Jasmine Dalangin claimed the championship throne as she defeated Ryiand Centeno, who placed second, while Ghellina Plana placed third.
