JCA’s Badminton Girls Doubles finish third in AAPS stint

JCSGO Christian Academy’s (JCA) Girls’ Doubles Badminton Team, Arrielle Angelica Berber and Maria Renzy Rizano clinched the third spot in the Athletic Association of Private Schools 2024 (AAPS) Unit Meet on October 6 at Centro Atletico Badminton.

The duo secured their third-place finish against Jubilee Christian Academy in a two-set match with scores of 21-16 and 21-17.

However, they faced a close three-set stumble against St. Vincent School (SVS), ultimately coming up short, securing a 2nd runner-up finish.

“May laban talaga sila [Rizano and Berber], babawi yan sila next year,” Coach Faye Binasoy expressed to Ignite after the match.

The talented duo completed their journey on the podium, under the direction of their esteemed Coach Binasoy and Coach Poly Lapiña in the AAPS 2024, as they plan to compete again in the upcoming year.
