As the school welcomes another year of God’s grace within the organization, JCSGO Christian Academy (JCA) celebrated its 28th anniversary with a program featuring school students and staff at the Seed Dome today, February 17.

Centered on the theme “Simply Believe,” and founded on Mark 5:36, esteemed guests consisting of alumni, students, parents, and faculty members came together to commemorate another year of the Lord’s faithfulness and express their unwavering belief in Him through various performances and talented displays.

Hosted by emcees Markin Asuncion and Jonah Lorraine Borromeo, attendants were immersed into the program with a Praise and Worship segment led by the JCA Teachers’ Band and Praise Team before a short prayer by Lyhanne Yzra Pedrera.

School President Bishop Victoria Sebastian warmed the event with opening remarks as she declared her vision for the school’s future.

“2025 is the year of God’s double grace. We believe that JCA will drive [us] more to be excellent in all the aspects of our educational endeavor. We pray that the school and parents will continue to be committed [to] raising value-laded, intellectually-developed, and spiritually-founded next generation. We believe that JCA will grow stronger standing on the values of the Bible that will not be shaken from the values of the world.”

The program then proceeded to the main event, where each performance from the field demonstrations focused on honoring God’s creation and reinforcing students’ faith in the Lord.

During the teachers’ dance, Principal Mrs. Cynthia Genon declared the school’s unwavering faith in God.

“JCAians, we are believers… Just like our JCA song goes, ‘Not by our power, strength, or might, but by the power of the Holy Spirit… He is sovereign.”

The program concluded with announcements, a heartfelt rendition of the JCA song by the school body, and a prayer led by Stacey Coleen Corpuz.

“Maraming changes, but … [I look up to a big portion of it being a] positive side of a Godly community. ‘Yun ‘yong basis namin why we stayed [in JCA],” expressed PTA Auditor and parent Mrs. Elena Masangkay about the foundation day event.

“Grateful kami do’n sa mga nagpasimula—Ma’am Cynthia, Bishop [Vicky], and ngayon, yung mga teachers doing their best para mabigay yung best nila para sa mga anak namin. We believe that JCA will grow stronger standing on the values of the Bible that will not be shaken from the values of the world,” she added.
