| Reigne Concepcion
Through energetic performances and wellness-centered themes, JCA Senior High School (SHS) department highlighted the importance of healthy living during its Nutri-Dance Competition on August 1 at the Central Hall.
Themed “Dance Your Way to Wellness,” the event featured six sections performing to promote proper nutrition and healthy living.
The program opened with remarks from Ms. Faye Binasoy and was hosted by Sir Stanley Bautista, who guided the performances smoothly.
Elohim performed first, followed by Shiloh, Jireh, Shammah, Elyon, and finally Shalom—each showcasing unique choreography and wellness messages.
One performer, Rhojhie Balbino from 11-Shalom, shared that they used bananas as props to emphasize the importance of eating fruits for a healthy body.
He added that, as their first-ever class contest, he reminded his classmates to focus not on the audience but on God, telling them that their dance was an offering to the Lord.
The results will be announced on Wednesday, August 6, during the first chapel service in celebration of Nutrition Month.
