Grade School (GS) students from JCSGO Christian Academy (JCA), Grades 1-3 showcased their verbal skills at the Tongue Twister Competition on Monday, September 16, tackling some trickiest tongue twisters.
“I read and say a lot of tongue twisters,” Ivan Louie Calalo from 3-Faithfulness said, beaming with excitement as he shared his passion and enthusiasm, and his confidence shone as he spoke proudly about his preparation for the contest.
The event featured classic tongue twisters like “How a clam cram in a clean cream can” for easy level, “I big bug bit the little beetle but the little beetle bit the big bug back” for moderate level, and “Fred fed Ted bread, and Ted fed Fred bread” for difficult level.
In an interview with Aliyah Jacey Elevado of 3-Faithfulness, she said “My favorite tongue twister is ‘Five frantic frogs fled from fifty fierce fish,’ but the skunk one was really hard.”
Judges evaluated the contestants based on pronunciation, clarity, volume, and speed to determine the winner, with the final results set to be announced on October 2.
