A heartbreaking loss for the varsity team.

After going undefeated in their pool, JCSGO Christian Academy (JCA) ended its journey at the 11th iTAMS Invitational as the team bowed down to St. John’s Wort Montessori School (SJWMS), 63-78 at the FEU Institute of Technology Gymnasium on Sunday, March 5.

Flooded by students and alumni, JCA brought the crowd in its favor as they went head-to-head against SJWMS in the opening period before getting outscored at the end of the half, 27-41.

JCA answered back late in the third period coming to within seven, 48-55, but SJWMS had an answer for every comeback attempt, igniting a 13-0 run before the late-game scuffle that sent David Manriza out of the match in the final quarter.

Jackson Angolluan led the team in their outing with 19 points and 10 rebounds, while Joshua Villanueva added 18.
