In line with the celebration of this school year’s Home Economics and Livelihood Education (HELE) Month, centered on the theme “Food and Nutrition Security, Maging Priority! Sapat na Pagkain, Karapatan Natin!” Grade School students participated in the highly anticipated Picture Game competition on July 30 at the Audio-Visual Room (AVR).

In the first round, students identified Home Economics and Livelihood Education (HELE) – based terms by a series of images. The second round followed, with contestants required to deliver a 30-second insight connecting the given pictures to the HELE theme.

“HELE teaches us things that can help us in our lives… in our career, in our business, in our everyday lives,” said Alessia Ysabel Santiago, a participant from Grade 6 Purity, highlighting the real-world value of HELE.

Meanwhile, Cassandra Isabelle Luna of Grade 5 Diligence said that the game encouraged her to promote HELE in establishing a better school community.

According to the contestants, the event sharpened their analytical thinking, communication skills, and ability to apply classroom knowledge in a competitive and engaging way.
