
GS dept. opens One-day Sports Fest for Children

On its fourth-day celebration of JCSGO Christian Academy’s Foundation Week, the Grade School (GS) department commenced its one-day sports fest last February 22.
With the theme, “Playing with Purpose: Putting God First in Sports,” Student Activity Head Ms. Brendalyn Zamora stated it is used throughout the sports fest in line with putting God first, more importantly in sports.
The GS department included six activities and games in the intramural festivities. These are the Tug of War, Yell Competition, In & Out, Ball Tunnel Relay, Pass the Stick, and Modified Volleyball Game.
The winners of each activity are as follows:
Yell Competition (Grades 1-3 Category)
• Champion: Grade 3-Righteousness
• First Runner-up: Grade 3-Faithfulness
• Second Runner-up: Grade 2-Goodness
Yell Competition (Grades 4-6 Category)
• Champion: Grade 4-Gentleness
• First Runner-up: Grade 5-Diligence
• Second Runner-up: Grade 5-Perseverance

The department also hosted a basketball exhibition game for grades five and six students from Humility and Purity. It ended with a dominant 27-6 score led by grade six student Ryle Espenilla, who tallied 17 points.
