In light of the 90th National Book Week celebration, JCSGO Christian Academy (JCA) recognized and honored its winning participants at the Seed Dome on Wednesday, January 8.

Running with the theme, “Mangarap, Mag-aral, Magdiwang!” the school library hosted several games and contests for Grade School (GS), Junior High School (JHS), and Senior High School (SHS) students from November 25 to 29, 2024.

Several creative champions from the GS Department took center stage with first-placers Weiland Cisco Mabbagu of 3-Righteousness for Bookmark Contest; John Dale Lagazpi of 6-Purity for Poem Writing and Poster Making; and Ma. Xeline Fernandez for Book Cover Redesign.

For the JHS Department, Princess Mary Anne Balanga of 9-Mighty made her mark with her entries for Poster Making and Digital Blackout Poetry, earning her the top place alongside winner Keisha Radene Mack of 9-Mighty with Digital Book Cover Redesign.

Charles Soriano of 12-Jireh was also recognized for his entry for Poster Making contest before the announcement of classroom advocacy winners.

Winners for Minute-to-Win-It games, Scavenger Hunt, and Reading Bingo were also given prizes at the school library.

According to Ms. Kimberly Mae Pantig, JCA School Librarian and Event Facilitator, while intending to foster a deeper love for books and reading, the aim of these activities was also to enhance the imagination and creativity of the students as well as to shift their perspective of the library as a place of knowledge and fun.
