Empowering Women: Celebrating Peace, Equality, Justice
| Reine Depra, John Dale Legaspi
As Women’s Month concludes, it is time to reflect, celebrate, and honor the achievements and contributions of women throughout history, shedding light on the progress women have made while recognizing the ongoing struggles they face in the pursuit of gender equality, justice, and human rights.
From fighting for the right to lead nations, businesses, and communities to becoming national heroes, women have played a crucial role in shaping society. However, while we celebrate these achievements, we must also acknowledge that the journey is far from over. Women across the globe still call for equal rights and opportunities in education, fair wages, and freedom from discrimination and violence.
JCSGO Christian Academy is blessed with remarkable women who lead, inspire, and educate. Figures such as Pastora Victoria Sebastian, Ms. Cynthia Genon, and the academic heads, Ms. Liza Reyes, Ms. Marife Jagto, and Ms. Linnie Bergante, and those dedicated female teaching and non-teaching staff have made lasting impacts, setting examples of strength, wisdom, and dedication for students to follow.
This serves as an essential reminder of the invaluable contributions women made in politics, education, arts, and countless other fields. It is a time to honor their achievements, advocate for gender equality, and amplify women’s voices in all aspects of society.
