Early Childhood Education (ECE) learners from JCSGO Christian Academy (JCA) stepped into the spotlight during the Buwan ng Wika activities at their culminating event at the Seed Dome on August 30.
The culminating activity, which included events such as the “Patimpalak sa Pagsayaw,” “Sack Race” and many more Palarong Pinoys, immersed the young learners in Filipino culture through various traditional activities.
One of the events that stood out was the “Patimpalak sa Pagsayaw,” where beginner and kinder pupils showcased their dancing and performing skills alongside their guardians, featuring popular Filipino songs like “Piliin Mo ang Pilipinas” and “Pinoy Ako.”
“Main goal talaga namin for the Buwan ng Wika for this year, ay [to] introduce to kids the palarong pinoy. Everything seemed new to them, [like] ‘yung Tumbang Preso, Sack Race, Siato and ‘yung iba. Talagang na-enjoy nila. So ayun, it’s all about introducing all about the Philippines to them—yung mga laro, culture, words, and mga tugtugin,” said Mrs. Liza Reyes, ECE Academic Head.
