SHS dept. conclude Communication Month, honoring contest winners

To recognize the students who excelled, JCSGO Christian Academy (JCA) Senior High School department wrapped up Communication Month with the theme, “Filipino, English Language: Language of Love, Peace, and Security towards Becoming Globally Competent Communicators,” on its Culminating Activity last September 29.
Student Activity Head Ms. Brenda Zamora said the goal was to strengthen the Filipino and English languages through different activities where students who excelled were recognized.
The winners of the individual contests were Thalia Mae Abad for Spoken Word Poetry and Dannon Garing for Hero Look A-like.
Meanwhile, in group competitions, Grade 12-Elohim was declared champion in Interpretative Reading, while Grade 11-Shalom won in Choral Reading.
The SHS department also recognized the guest judges with certificates of appreciation.
JCA also introduced the theme for the upcoming Global Media and Information Literacy Month, “Media Information Literacy in Media Spaces.”
The celebration features five contests that will take where winners will be announced on the month’s culminating activity on October 25.
