After a journey full of hard work and perseverance, Elementary graduates and Junior High School completers were honored during the 8th Moving Up Ceremony and 20th Commencement Exercises at the Seed Dome on Friday, June 23.
In her opening remarks, Janelle De Ocampo, a student who finished with high honors, expressed the remarkable achievements they had made as they set off on a new adventure.
Sarah Jane Escosia of batch 2009-2010 presented her address, sharing her life experiences and lessons learned as she encouraged them, highlighting the value of humility, integrity, discipline, and the fact that God is always on time.
“I want to share four lessons I’ve learned: one, humility is the solid foundation of all virtues; two, always choose peace over being right all of the time; three, study hard and persevere; and four, pray to seek guidance from God.”
School Principal Mrs. Cynthia Genon, Bishop Victoria Sebastian, and Mrs. Marife Jagto, the academic head of the junior high, presented and awarded diplomas and medals to the JHS completers.
“Our journey has only just begun. Let us face the challenges that lie ahead with unwavering confidence, knowing that we are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and resilience to overcome any obstacle,” said Miguel Lucas Sevilla, a high honors student in his speech.
An audio-visual presentation was then given to reflect on the students’ experience after performing their batch song.
