Grade School, JHS students honored on Recognition Day

To commemorate the academic achievers of the school year 2022-23, JCSGO Christian Academy (JCA) conducted the 26th and 19th Recognition Ceremony of the Grade School and Junior High School (JHS) Department on Thursday, June 22, at the Seed Dome.

Kenzo M. Chan, a Grade 3 student awarded the highest honor, gave the opening remarks, highlighting their journey throughout the academic year.
“Today marks our most awaited time, the moment we reap what we have sown and the harvesting of fruits of all our hard work and perseverance. May this wonderful experience of greatness be the start and continue to inspire all of us to do our best,” Chan said.
Batch 2016 alumnae and guest speaker Christian Gaile Santiago delivered a speech, motivating the students with the help of God’s love and reminding them of the importance of gratitude, giving back, and never forgetting the people who supported them.
School Principal Ms. Cynthia Genon, Assistant Principal Mr. Amado Sabangan Jr., and Academic Head Ms. Marife Jagto presented the awards to achievers in subject proficiency, communications arts, co-curricular, and academic achievement.
Outgoing Supreme Pupil Government President Shantelle Misha Mique and Servant Leader of Grade 5 Chloe Elkrishia Jimenez led the turnover ceremony following the awarding.

Grade 8 student and High Honors awardee Ryiand Djorge Centeno stated in her opening remarks that their achievement is another significant milestone in their academic journey and that they have exhibited dedication, perseverance, and excellence throughout the year.
“I would like to express my heartful appreciation to our teachers and mentors who have tirelessly guided us, nurtured our minds, and inspiring us to reach for the stars.”
Centeno congratulated her fellow achievers, emphasizing that the ceremony is a testimony of their hard work, resilience, and unwavering determination. She also mentioned that the ceremony was not the ultimate goal but a stepping stone toward greater heights.
Meanwhile, Frei Rafoel Sandan, a Grade 7 student, introduced the guest speaker of the event, 2016 alumni Ms. Hannah Denise Medilo, as she delivered her life story.
Ms. Genon, Mr. Sabangan Jr., and Ms. Jagto were once again the presenters of medals and achievements.
Selected JHS students and the JCA Band also performed an intermission number near the end of the event.
Grade 9 student and High Honors awardee Emm C. Go delivered the closing ceremony, acknowledging the principal, faculty, staff, parents, and her fellow student awardees in completing the 2022-23 academic year.
