Bible quiz bee builds students’ spiritual foundation

“Nowadays, students are not very familiar with the Bible. As a Christian school, we should be founded by the Word of God,” shared values teacher, Ms. Jean De La Paz. 

More than just a competition, the Bible Quiz Bee on January 19, 2026, at the library and AVR was a meaningful opportunity to deepen Grade School (GS) and Junior High School (JHS) students’ understanding of God’s word.

Ms. De La Paz emphasized the importance of understanding the Bible and its teachings, explaining that students should be guided by the Scripture, not just inside the four corners of the classroom, but beyond.

The competition encouraged participants from Grades 1-10 to recall key Bible characters and scriptures, strengthening both their knowledge and their understanding of God’s word.

Grade 10 participant Rowela Melgar also shared that the quiz bee helped students grow in their knowledge of the Bible and in their faith.

The winners will be announced during the Values Month Culmination in February.
