Guided by the theme “Called to Purpose: Preparing for God-Given Careers,” Grade 12 Senior High School (SHS) students gathered for the school’s career fair—an event that offered guidance, direction, and newfound confidence for many graduating students, held at the Central Hall, January 13.
The fair brought together 21 colleges and universities in total: MINT College, SBLC, iAcademy, WCC, DLSAU, WCC Aeronautical & Technological College, UE, FEU Tech, STI College Cubao, MCU, Mapúa, UST, CEU, TIP, NCBA, JRU, DLS–CSB, FEU-NRMF, Letran, AIMS, and TUA.
The program began with a seminar, where school representatives presented their programs, scholarships, admission processes, and student opportunities. As they shared their programs, many speakers emphasized passion, purpose, and aligning one’s choices with personal values—echoing the theme of pursuing careers that are not only practical but meaningful.
For many students who were unsure about their next step, the seminar became a moment to reflect on where they feel called. Kyly Lorenzo shared that the fair helped her narrow down her options and decide which school she truly wants to pursue.
Another Grade 12 student, Nicole Nobleza, also said the event helped her feel more confident about her college plans, realizing that her chosen course aligns with her strengths and future goals.
Following the seminar, students roamed the booths in Central Hall, where colleges handed out brochures, merchandise, and even hosted raffles.
But beyond the fun and excitement, conversations with representatives helped many students realize how their skills and dreams could be part of a bigger purpose.
Grade 12 student John Christian Ojos shared, “This experience really strengthened my decision. I believe the Lord answered my prayer because everything went so smoothly, which reminded me of Romans 8:28: ‘And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to His purpose.’”
By offering guidance and direct access to multiple institutions, the career fair not only introduced students to college opportunities but also helped many overcome the uncertainty that often comes with planning for the future.
