Vibrant expressions defined the transition from deadlines to delights as the JCA workforce and faculty lived the theme “Be Someone’s Reason to Smile this Christmas” to wrap the year at Central Hall on December 19.

The program began in prayer by Pastor Joshua Sebastian, followed by a spirited performance of Christian holiday songs led by a group of talented teachers.

A voting session in Mentimeter followed, recognizing individuals for their joyful presence and hospitality: Ms. Rhose Ongpoco, Ms. Dahlia Nazareno, Ms. Edna Amazona, and Ms. Sarah Sumalabe.

Momentum surged as the marshals and custodians performed their dance, giving way to group photo opportunities from each department and staff member.

Principal Cynthia Genon delivered a heartfelt thanksgiving message that turned interactive as she led present members in singing “For the Lord is Good,” emphasizing that a good teacher sings praises to the Lord.

Personal milestones were also celebrated as the school honored three teaching staff members entering marriage, including one groom-to-be for this December and two brides-to-be for January 2026.

Laughter then erupted during a competitive candle-blowing game using paper plates, setting the stage for a series of talent-filled departments along with the administrative team for presentations that blended holiday spirit and teaching struggles — soon followed by  the announcement of the winners:

  • 1st Place: Junior High School (JHS) and Practical Music Course (PMC)
  • 2nd Place: Senior High School (SHS) and Early Childhood Education (ECE)
  • 3rd Place: Grade School (GS) and Practical Music Course (PMC)

Sir Sundae Burce later looked toward the future by declaring the 2026 theme, “Through Christ, I Can,” challenging the faculty to carry their faith into the new year.

After the hopeful declaration, the display and awarding of festive hats and umbrellas commenced—featuring the top 12 and two official winners, Ms. Dani Soliven and Sir Kirk Javier.

Anticipation reached a fever pitch during raffle draws, where Ms. Norlyn Ledesma emerged as the winner for the grand prizes.

Before the event concluded, Principal Cynthia Genon honored creativity for the Christmas decorations in the following offices:

  • 1st Place: Registrar
  • 2nd Place: Accounting
  • 3rd Place: Clinic
  • 4th Place: Admin Office
  • 5th Place: Student Development Services Office

Event hosts, Ms. Rovy Alicante and Ms. Jacqueline Baloro, steered the program with wit and energy, navigating a crowd draped in festive colors as departments showcased decorative hats and umbrellas in a display of competitive spirit.
