Sacred Feast, Sin Ceased; JCA hold its first sacred christian communion
by Hailey Velasco
JCSGO Christian Academy hosted its first Sacred Christian Communion at the Seed Dome on September 3, representing a deeper and fuller connection in the Christian faith.
The service started by praising and worshiping the Lord together with the JCA band.
Pastor Joshua Sebastian led the ceremony, highlighting how Jesus Christ died on the Cross for our sins.
After the teaching, the students then partook of a piece of bread and a cup of grape juice symbolizing the body and blood of Christ Jesus as they recited the three Significances of the Breaking of Bread.
“I felt good that I got to have my communion; it helped me boost my faith in God,” shared Lia Francisco of Grade 7 Majestic.
The Grade 3 pupils then performed a song titled “This Little Light of Mine” while the certificate of participation was distributed by each class adviser.
Assistant Principal of Christian Formation and Discipline, Mr. Amado Sabangan, gave the closing remarks. The gathering ended with a prayer and thanksgiving to one another.
