JCSGO Christian Academy (JCA) honored the dedication and achievements of its varsity athletes during Student Athlete Appreciation Day on April 25 at the Central Hall.

Sports Coordinator Ms. Faye Binasoy delivered her remarks, emphasizing the purpose of the event and unity formed within each team—the bond that strengthened not only their performance but also their character.

The program continued with each varsity team captain—Alex Mallari of the Girls’ Volleyball Team, Dharylle Yasay of the Boys’ Volleyball Team, Nicolie Aberin of the Boys’ Basketball Team, Gabriel Sales of the Badminton Team, and Zam Ma-ao for Individual Sports—being called onstage to proudly recognize their teammates, celebrating both the challenges and triumphs that shaped their journey together.

“As athletes, we should be thankful foremost, for the strength and endurance. Our ability to compete is a God given gift, a talent that we should offer to God as our worship,” said Ma-ao

An audio-visual presentation (AVP) followed, showcasing the teams’ most memorable moments, victories, and growth throughout the year.

Varsity coaches Gerard Alejo, Roland Austria, and Binasoy concluded the event with final words of praise, commending their athletes for their performance and the values of teamwork, humility, and faith they upheld throughout the season.
