Fitness and Finest: JHS caps off Intramurals 2025 with a blast

Marking the revelation of the Junior High School (JHS) Intramurals 2025, themed “Believe, Strive, Triumph: Fitness to Finest,” students were gathered with their respective teams yesterday, February 21, at Seed Dome.

The event commenced with an opening prayer led by Mr. Amado Sabangan Jr., followed by a morning devotion, praise and worship led by Sir Uel and Angelica Ibale, and a warm-up exercise.

Cheers and chants electrified the atmosphere as each team competed for the yell competition, with Ephraim Buenaflor and Ryiand Centeno serving as emcees.

In the 100m Dash Grade 7-8 Category, the following finest students took the crown:

Boys Division (Grade 7-8)

• Jiro Shaune Jacob – First Place

• Joban Dhaliwal – Second Place

• Akiro Carl Banal- Third Place

Girls Division (Grade 7-8)

• Renzy Rizano – First Place

• Hanniah Aberin – Second Place

• Eleijah Semana – Third Place

Boys Division (Grade 9-10)

• Sean Ombac – First Place

• Xyruz Mesa – Second Place

• Cayniel Bautista – Third Place

Girls Division (Grade 9-10)

In the 200m Relay, the following teams took the crown:

Ballers showcased their range in the 3-Point Shoot-Out, as Yohan Cadimas and Renzy Rizano ruled the Grade 7-8, while Miggs Canido and Monalyn Eugenio seized the gold medal in the Grade 9-10 category.

Brains and brawns were on display in the Tug of War competition, with the Purple Vanguards winning the Boys’ Grade 7-8 event and the Red Conquerors excelling in the Girls’ Grade 7-8 division.

The Purple Vanguards were hailed as the Yell Competition champions, while the Orange Embers earned the title of the Most Disciplined Team. Wrapping it up, the overall champions of the JHS Intramurals 2025 were the Orange Embers, with the Red Conquerors and Purple Vanguards finishing in 2nd and 3rd place, respectively.
