By: Yuri Naranja
JCA Senior High School (SHS) Department opened the Science, Technology, Mathematics, and Media Literacy (STMML) Month with a Visual Representation (VisRep) contest on October 28 in the Shammah room.
With the theme, “Bridging the Gap: Media and Information Literacy as a Tool for STEM Innovation,” SHS students showcased their talents and creativity in their works, using various materials and techniques, from oil pastels to eye-catching digital graphics.
Facilitated by Elijah Miguel Jardinez from Multimedia Club and Joem Elija Domingo from Spectrum Club, submissions were evaluated based on creativity and originality, relevance to the theme, technical skills, and artwork impact.
Charles Soriano of 12-Jireh shared to Ignite about his experience in the contest, “Sumali ako dahil ito talaga yung hobby ko dati pa. Nung bata ako lagi ako sumasali sa poster making contest and sanay na talaga ako sa ganiyan, tapos syempre masaya ako dahil kasama ko yung dalawa kong kaibigan sa contest.”
