New Entry Dominates: JCA Arnis secures spot in AAPS 2024 Division Meet

In its debut match, JCSGO Christian Academy (JCA) arnisador Jalile Romel Estuesta made it look easy, bags the first place podium after representing District III Men’s Featherweight Category in the Unit Meet of Athletic Association of Private School 2024 (AAPS) on October 19 at St. John of Beverley School Inc.

Estuesta made an early statement and bolstered a straight run to close the first round against St. John of Beverley School (SJB) 5-0.

The second round fell in the hands of JCA Arnisador, who bolted the match against SJB, 5-1.

“Presence of mind. Andun na yung confidence na handa tayo pero still, we need to remain calm and be observant. Take quick actions kapag may kinakailangan,” said Coach Faye Binasoy after the first match.

Estuesta continued the streak against Kings Montessori School (KMS) during the first round, tallying 5-1.

The five-foot-eight Estuesta overshadowed KMS’s arnisador during the second round, racking five straight points, rifling powerful strikes, and closing the match with 5-0.

Estuesta will now advance to the Division Meet Tournament of AAPS 2024.
