JCA highlights winners for English month, awards finest JCAians in class contests

JCSGO Christian Academy (JCA) closed English Month with the theme “Speak, Read, Write, Rise: Empowering Influential Communicators through English,” recognizing the students who won in this month’s competitions, as well as its individual class category contests on October 2 at the Seed Dome.

For the Grade School (GS) Department, Yarra Celestine Nobleza, Xavier Matthew Elefan, Grayson L. Abaluna from Grades 1-3, and Urijah Jacob V. Panganiban and Elisha David W. Buban from Grades 4-6 category were the champions for Spelling Bee.

In the Literature and Grammar Quiz Bee for Grades 4-6, Alexa Kathryn V. Marin, Sophia Angela S. Reaño, and John Dale S. Legaspi clinched the top podium.

Miesha Addison Ilagan, Julia Ysabelle A. Magallanes, Ivan Louie C. Calalo for Grades 1-3 level reigned as champions for the Tongue Twister competition, while the Impromptu Speech winners were Railey Nathan Dela Cruz, Kenzon Chan, and Gareth Jian B. Villavicencio for Grades 4-6 level.

For their final competition, the essay-writing victors were Cassandra Isabelle U. Luna, Kenzo M. Chan, and Fionah Liliane L. Matildo. Richelle Ann Dela Cruz, Linux Carl Mabbagu, and Jasper Jhoeperl Sapilan were champions for Grades 1-3 in the Poetry Recital.

For the Junior High School (JHS) Department, Jayden Michael C. Tuñacao, Hugh Collin G. Baul, Sigfred Gabriel C. Batchar and Joaquin Miguel L. Ariño reigned as the champions in the Spelling Bee contest.

Winners for the Poetry Making contest were Kirsten Joelle L. Balilo for Grades 7-8, and Phillip Chester L. Buena for Grades 9-10.

The Declamation contest honored Danfred Gabriel V. Rosales for Grades 7-8 and Ryiand Djorge O. Centeno for the top spot.

Kriztian Joss T. Baricaua, Jonah Lorraine S. Borromeo, and Ephraim Buenaflor clinched the victory in the Debate Competition with Borromeo as the Best Debater.

JCA also gave spotlight to the awarding of the class competitions from Grade School to Senior High School department, recognizing the finest students with the following awards; Lead class, Creation Care award, English Communicating class, Healthy Monday Advocates, KKK class, and the Most Disciplined class award.
