JCSGO Christian Academy’s (JCA) Grade School (GS) Department and Junior High School (JHS) Department proudly showcased their sharpness in spelling last September 9-13 in their respective classrooms.
The GS and JHS participants were provided with words that became more challenging with each round while adhering to the rule that “one misspelled word would cost them the podium.”
“I can say that this Spelling Bee is one the most competitive competitions I have ever gone to, but that competitiveness is what pushed me into breaking through a new level of my punctuality and spelling that I had never unlocked before,” said Joaquin AriƱo, participant from Grade 10-Glorious.
Contestants also told Ignite that this competition “brought out the best in them,” firmly making them believe in themselves more in today’s English era.
The Spelling Bee contest concluded on a high note, showing the hard work and cleverness of the students in the competition.
