JCA MBT secures easy dub in ITAMS 2024 opener

After a dominating performance, JCSGO Christian Academy’s (JCA) Men’s Basketball Team (MBT) secured a 76-41 thrashing against Riveridge School Inc. (RSI) in their 13th Itam Invitational Sportsfest (ITAMS) debut on September 15, at the FEU Institute of Technology Gymnasium.

JCA MBT dominated early on the court with a 10-0 lead three minutes into the match. The men in blue played intensely, putting RSI under pressure as they closed out the opening quarter with a 15-point hold, 23-8.

Alexander Alfaro dominated the paint, racking up nine points, while Brandon Lim pitched in with seven points, one block, and six boards in the second quarter.

The team maintained their momentum in the mid-game period, with King Ringor sealing a two-point basket that launched raining buckets from Alfaro, Edward Valera, Kurt Bidaure, and Marc Sigua.

Sigua took charge of the remaining minutes of the ball game, amassing 13 points and four rebounds before the final buzzer.

The game wrapped up with a staggering 35-point blowout with the Coach Gerard Alejo-lead team leaning on Alfaro with his 16 points, nine rebounds, and three assists to kick off their stint in the sportsfest.
