
SHS Students Clash in Badminton Tournament on Intramurals D-4

In a showcase of impeccable skill and determination, the badminton finals singles kept spectators on the edge of their seats during the 8th JCA Senior High School Intramurals last February 29.
Charles Soriano of the Red Prophets displayed unmatched prowess to clinch the boys’ singles championship title, while Michael Brioso of the Green Saints fought valiantly to secure second place.
In the girls’ singles category, however, Danielle Miña of the Blue Judges soared to victory, outplaying her opponents to claim the coveted championship title. Clarissa Pancho of the Yellow Kings exhibited remarkable resilience to secure the second spot on the podium.
The battle for third place was equally intense, with Marcus Cortez of the Blue Judges showcasing his remarkable skills to claim third place in the boys’ singles category, while Carla Buse from the Red Prophets demonstrated her prowess to secure third place in the girls’ singles category.
In the highly anticipated badminton doubles category, Aviona Villadolid and Aikee Azares of the Green Saints formed an indestructible team, clinching the championship title with finesse. Ralph Arcamo (subbed for Marc Jagto due to injury) and Yuri Naranja from the Yellow Kings put up a commendable fight to secure the second spot on the podium.
In the battle for third place in the doubles category, Lhea Mateo and Adrian Cariaga of the Red Prophets delivered a stellar performance, securing third place and defeating the Blue Judges, led by Zoe De Leon and Charles Ustare, who claimed fourth place.
The electrifying matches and spirited performances showcased extraordinary talent and sportsmanship among the players of each team, leaving an indelible mark on all who witnessed it.
