JCSGO Christian Academy’s (JCA) Men’s Basketball Team conquered the Holy Infant Montessori Center (HIMC) in a 74-55 blowout last February 25 in the Itam Invitationals 2024 at the Far Eastern University — Institute of Technology Gymnasium.
HIMC got off to a quick start, with an early 16-8 lead in the first, but JCA answered with a 10-point outburst to tie the game 18-a-piece.
The men in white carried their momentum in the second quarter, erupting an 8-0 run and was defense-oriented, limiting HIMC to only 12 points in the quarter, 41-30.
The third quarter was no different, with JCA breaking away to a 14-4 run and restricting their opponent to only eight points in the third, 55-38.
HIMC, however, tried to make a surge in the fourth to lessen the gap, but JCA had counters to their answers, pulling away and icing the game, 74-55.
David Manriza led the men in white with 13 points and five boards.
Three players were also on double-double watch, including Cedric Narcelles with 10 markers, eight rebounds, and five steals; Ralph Rizano’s 10 and seven boards; and Jackson Anggolluan’s eight points and eight caroms.
The JCA basketball squad remains undefeated in the tournament, 4-0.
